Wedding Tips & Services

What to expect for your wedding?

What an exciting time for you, planning the wedding of your dreams. While this time can be fun and exciting, it can also be extremely overwhelming. Our goal as your wedding photographers is to make this process as smooth as possible. Photography is more than just the images from your wedding, it is one of the things from your wedding that will last a lifetime. We’ve put together a few tips to guide you in planning your wedding day and give you the best experience possible with Red Blossom Photography.

Engagement Sessions

Engagement sessions serve several purposes when booking your wedding with us. First, it captures your important memories and secondly it allows us all (photographers and couple) to get to know each other. Added stress on your wedding day is the last thing you need, having worked with us on your engagement photographs will help lower your nerves on the big day.

Wedding Day Schedule

Having a clear and complete schedule for your day will allow us to get the best shots and recognize any problems before they occur. For example, a clear schedule will ensure we know when your toasts are beginning and when we have time to get detail shots of your venue and the setting. It is especially important to make sure you have carved out enough time for formals and romantic shots.

Lighting Considerations

Lighting will play an important part in getting the highest quality images on your wedding day. Make sure you consider the lighting in all of these areas: getting ready photos, reception, dancing, group shots (wedding part, formal family photos, etc.), and bride & groom pictures at the different time of day.

What your photographer needs to know

Because your photographer is the person you’re trusting to capture this special day, and you’ve paid for their creativity and input, make sure they are in the know about the following items: individuals with special considerations, any type of planned craziness, DIY details, and if you may be expecting any family drama. The more we know, the better we can expect the unexpected.
